If you're recycling a candle jar, you can remove the wick and any remaining wax with a spoon, or by melting or freezing it. DO NOT pour melted candle wax in your sink, it will ruin your pipes.

For melting, Remove all labels and place candle jar in the oven at its lowest setting until remaining wax melts. Remove your candle jar carefully from the oven using a hot pad. Next pour the melted wax into the trash, pop out the wick holder using a spoon, and wipe the inside clean with a cloth. Hand wash jar, rinse, and dry.

For freezing, Place your candle with labels into the freezer until the remaining wax hardens. Next carefully chip out frozen wax and wick using a spoon and throw remaining wax away in the trash. Use a cloth to wipe away remaining wax. Hand wash jar, rinse, and dry.
